Do you play an instrument? Are you free on Wednesday evenings? Want to know what you could be doing?

To find out, come along to the orchestra's open evenings on Wednesdays 18 June, 2 and
16 July. Here you will have a chance to play through and work on Mahler’s First Symphony and the Háry János Suite by Hungarian composer Kodály. The pieces are being played purely for the orchestra's enjoyment and will not be performed in public. Thornbury Orchestra is particularly keen to hear from string players and musicians from local schools. Players need to be of a good standard and wishing to improve. The free-of-charge sessions will take place at the orchestra’s usual rehearsal venue of the United Reformed Church in Thornbury starting at 7.45pm.
